Young Aelys, the Silver Kestrel by spadiekitchenqueen Young Aelys, the Silver Kestrel by spadiekitchenqueen
As usual, I'm the commissioner not the artist. This piece of my character Aelys has been darwn by the amazing =Owlivia and is posted here with her approval.

Years before she was Aelys of the Dragon land, caring for and raising her adoptive siblings, heirs to the throne of Drechenval....

Years before she was trained into becoming Kiddo of the Elite Guard, the blade of the Keeshir, the swift and severe justice of the land...

She was Elthael Cersio, last born child and only daughter of a small noble family in Feloria.

She was young, innocent, trusting and easily manipulated. Lessons of life would come much later.

She dreamed of adventures, of seeing the world, so she entered the Messenger's: a service that delivered messages from the king in all the realm. Little did she known at the time how harmless and innocuous her missions were, too lost in her dreams of epic events she didn't notice how sheltered she was.
She was already very fast there, running light footed and silent through the forest, and she earned the nickname of Silver Kestrel then.
Utterly inept with a bow, much to her friends and brother's amusement, she learned very fast to use a sword even if at that time, she was way more prone to bolt away than stay and fight. She wasn't that courageous then, she just thought she was.

Aelys interview

Choose an original character you have created. All questions must be answered from the character's perspective. The character should remain "in character" throughout the interview. The character may refuse to answer a given question, but must say something in reply to it. The character must answer truthfully, but that does not necessarily mean that their answers must be true, only that the character believes them to be true. Have fun.

The Dragon's land tale
"Tell us a story, please."

Mireï voice was low, so tightly controlled it sounded like a ghost's whisper. Her eyes were puffed and reddened and her lips pressed in a thin white line. Next to her, Choreï wasn't looking any better, eyes lowered on hands clenched so hard the joints shone starkingly white against his tanned skin.

"Please, Aelys. Tell us a story, like you used to when we were kids…"

Hearing that muttered plea the young woman pinched her lips, fighting her own storm of emotions. She had held on all day, locking her tears behind a dam of will and anger and had hoped to finally let go once she was alone but she had made a promise t
