Warning, a huge block of text and explanations incoming!

As usual I am not the artist but the commissioner. The lines of this serie of outfits for my characters (OC) Aeran and Beeren has been drawn by the awesome and wonderful Gnewi and is posted here with her approval (Go have a look at her gallery you won't regret it!) The colouring and shading has been done by me.

Here are the outfits worn the most by Aeran and Beeren, heirs to the crown of Dendroa when they were part of the Elite Guard of the Keeshir, their father. Aeran is first born heir to the throne, while Beeren is a Keeper of the Spirit of our father, blessed by the god of war and battles, the protector of Dendroa.

Finally I managed to colour this, so you can have a peek at the main hues used in Dendroa.While Aeran usually dress in quite somber and strict attire, mirror of the education received from his father, Beeren likes richer fabrics, he is a tad more hedonist than his brother though both of them have received a military education that also explains a lot what they usually wear. Not all their outfits are here, but those are the ones they wear the most!

First line consists of Aeran's main outfits, middle lines the ones both brothers have in common, third line is Beeren own's wardrobe.

Aeran's outfits:

* Everyday: What he wears when not taken by any of his duties either for the Guard or as heir. He has a predilection for the colour blue, in all shades and wears red as a reminder of the way the leaves of the Thorntree turn red on the branches that bear fruits.

* Ceremonial: When he has to be a representant of the crown, filling his duties as the heir of the land. Ever since he was a kid he has been formed for this, by both his parents. His responsabilities have been hamered down on him and modeled his personnality deeply. This outfit has quite somber hues that remind of the grey of the dendroan skies (Dendroa is renowned for its massive storms), the red of the Thorntree and the dark blue of the sea that line up half of Dendroa's frontiers.

* Training: Aeran follows a very strict training schedule, as in addition of his diplomatics duties he is also a capitain of the Keeshir Guard. He favours a broadsword that accentuates his reach.

* Heavy Armour
: made of the best engeornian steel and accentuated with gold, it befits the heir of the crown.

* City Clothes: An alternative to his everyday clothes, when he has to attend more personnal events that nevertheless require him to be a tad more elegantly dressed.

Common Outfits:

* Ceremonial Armour: It is the armour of the Keeshir Guard, the one they wear when the either accompany the king and queen in their official duties, or when they have to officy as judges. Th law of the Keeshir Guard is harsh and inflexible butr it's everyone's right to ask for it when put to trial. You only have to be sure you're innocent because death sentence awaits the guilty...

* Light Armour: The everyday armour of the Keeshir Guard, common in lines and in colours with the regular army outfit, save for the Thorntree emblem engraved on the baldric.

* Winter: Winter near the coast aren't that cold, more like damp, very windy and shook by phenomenal thunderstorms of hailing rain and incessant strikes of lightning. There are a few blizzards in the northest part of the land but it's generally more the pummeling rain that is a problem. Dendroan do weave the thin wool of their sheeps with such care than they can make lighweight hoods and vests that are almost totally waterproof, providing shelter from the constant rain. This is their regular winterwear attire. Another outfit made for the northern regions can be donned, with longer, heavier, fur lined cape, but it is this one they wears in the capital and most of the time. The cape's wool has been dyed with Thorntree leaves's extract.

* Uniform:
This is the everyday uniform of the elite Guard, perfectly recognisable despites its simplicity by anyone within the frontiers of the dendroan realm. The vest is off white, padded and can be worn alone or under lightweight armour. The boots are supple yet sturdy, the tunic in blueish grey weaved from a mix of silk and cotton for the best alliance in comfort and ease. Along the sleeves, and lower part of the tunic, leaves of the Thorntree, the Dendroan emblem, are embroidered in deep red while the tree in itself is visible above her heart on the vest. The pants are black or dark grey.

* Heavy armour of the Keeshir Guard</b>: when they know they will have to face battles, e.g. on the Sybinius moors, or when teh coasts are attacked by raiders. Again, it is engeornian steel, worked by the best smith of the country (there is, every decade, a giant event to determine the most talented smith of the country. He will be the one to designs weapons and armours for the Keeshir Guarda nd be honoured for life for his duty to the land.)

* Infiltration: Being part of the Elite Guard means doing whatever is necessary to protect the land and the crown, including infiltration, spying or even assassination missions. In those occasions, members of the Guard will dress in loosely wrapped garb  to better blur her outlines, hide their face and hair under a cowled scarf and even dye their hands and fingers with ink to be utterly invisible at night. One interesting thing to note is that they never wear true black on those missions but rather layers dark hues in grey, blue and green, much better to disappear in the shadows that the plain black that attract much more attention in fact.

* Travel: When travelling the country, members or the Guard adopt this outfit. The cape double up as either tent that can be tied together for a bigger, common shelter or blanket to keep warm at night. The short sleeved outer vest is slightly padded, with detachable long sleeves for warmer weather. The long sleeved tunic under is the same cotton and silk mix with narrowed wrists hiding pockets on both side. The weapon harness is made to fit in oiled leather and adorned with the classical Thorntree leaves decorations. The dagger at the hip is wide bladed and perfectly balanced so it can be thrown as well as been used in close range combat. The boots are smooth soled so they don't leave prints and the pants are in charcoal grey fabric.

* Summer: Dendroa is a coastal land so generally tempered but sometimes in summer, just before the storm season, winds are blowing for the east and south and are quite dry and hot.

Beeren's outfits:

* Ceremonial:
Bereen is a much snappier dresser than his brother. He does enjoy being seen, looked at, and admired. His clothes are simple yet perfectly cut, with always a small detail that reminds of his rank. Here, the lining of his coat is Zimnirian weaved gold, perfectly complimenting his dark skin.

* Heavy armour:
Beeren's armour is much somber than Aeran's, and despites being cared for by the Keeshir Guard smith, shows signs of dents and hits, mostly because of Beeern's style of fighting: he is a true warrior and when ddep in his battle rage, will rush his enemies fearlessly.

* Training:
Beeren is more proficient than his brother in unarmed combat: he is shorter but physically stronger, and enjoys also a game played in Dendroa called Thornolde , which consist of a field with 6 goals, played with two teams, where each team has one goal they must protect, and has to score as much goals as possible on the neutral goals, and the opponent's one. Only the first one on each will bring points, and the party end when all goals have been taken.

* City clothes: What he wears the most. He tends to favour green and grey hues, accentuated with the red of the royal family, the red of the Thorntree. He likes to go out a lot so will wear thoe clothes regularly.

* Everyday: When he wants to lounge and relax. He actually enjoys a lot star sighting (he is the one that taught that to Aelys) and can spend hours on the room at the top of his appartments, where the glass ceiloing allows him to see the sky.
